Recreate UVs Issues

Hello,

I'm having a very frustrating problem with Mudbox. I'm trying to extract a normal map with the target model being at Level 2 Subdivision, Source Model being at Level 5.

However, since Mudbox doesn't generate UVs for each level to save on memory, I have to recreate UVs. But of course, any attempt to recreate UVs results in Mudbox completely freezing, at which point I have to terminate it.

Trying to extract a map using Level 0 Subdivision as Target Model results in the result... Looking not quite nice when I attempt to use the normal map as a bump map in Maya. It's like it's all messed up.

Any suggestions?

export highest level and target level as .obj and render your maps in xnormal dude
